Happy Fourth Birthday to my dear sweet Addison Rae... I can not believe our own little Repunzel in now 4 years old. Addison is such a joy to have around the house, she always has a giggle stored up somewhere and she is always willing to let it spill over in a moments notice. She is also a great helper around the house while sisters are at school, she likes to ask,"Mom, what job can I do now." She is determined to grow her hair as long as Tangles and it is touching her behind now. If we keep going at this rate it may just reach her ankles by the time she is 20. Although she hasn't started preschool yet she is into learning the most she can with what she has and is famous for always asking the question,"WHY?" As much as it drives me nuts, I would not have it any other way. Her new favorite movie to watch during quiet time is Shark Boy, Lava Girl. Secretly I think it is cause she is closet Team Jacob fan... I can't still find where the last four years have gone and my baby girl has grown up.. I love you Addison Rae, you are such a sweet addition to our family...

This year we made the big move once again, which means a new school for the kids. New school means new adjustments but I do have to say the girls have done great. The car pooling line takes some getting used to but I think I am working out the kinks in the system and getting into a good routine. Kynna is loving Kintergarten although I think the all day, every day is hard on her. She loves her teacher and all the positive praises she gets in class. Mikaela is loving second grade and has lots of friends being the social butterfly she is. Her teacher makes sure they have a blessing before they go to lunch daily. So different then the schools back home in UT. So far school year is going good, lets keep up the good work.

When we went to Utah over Easter my Brother and SIL took my girls on a shopping spree. Mikaela decided to get a Skip it and Grandpa was the first one to try it out and show her how to do it. Way to go DAD, not too bad of a job........

While in Utah I was able to make a quick weekend trip to Vegas to Celebrate Mercedes 21st Birthday.

It was so nice to have a weekend away and I have the most awesome siblings to take my kids for me. I also got a nice weekend surprise when Spence was able to book a flight and come out for a day to spend 24 quick hours with me. Thanks goodness it was his free flight he used, since it was so short. I love Vegas and can't wait to get back.

The past two weeks I was lucky enough to have my cousin Carli out here in AL to visit me, and we LOVED every minute of it. We explored my new city together making trips to the childrens museum, lost luggage store, splash pad with treats from the ice cream man, community pool and then a day trip out to the gulf shore beaches where all the pale skins got roasted and toasted. The kids loved playing in the sand and water and was upset when we had to get out of the water for the day due to a jellyfish invasion.

At the end of May we had another proud Graduate in our house. Kynna finished her second year of preschool. At the graduation program we were served a fried chicken dinner and had a nice big cake to celebrate.. Miss Lori, Miss Carmalee and Mr. James will be missed. Congrats Kynna, next step Kintergarten.

Our Paper Chain to Count Down the Days!

Well it is that time again. Time to make a move and start the transition all over. We officially have 34 days till the next move to AL. As I sit back and reflect over this past year it seems to have flown by in the blink of an eye. We have made 2 family trips back to Utah and have had 2 visits of family coming out here. School is starting to wind down for the girls. Kynna's last day is May 25th and Mikaela will soon follow with May 27th. Spence has his last call schedule brawl yesterday and it all panned out how he expected so it looks like my weekends next month will be solo, but well worth getting the days we wanted. As the move gets closer the more stressed I get hoping the closing on the house works out ok. Just keep us in your prayers everything turns out ok. My parents will be flying out in 4 1/2 weeks to once again help with the move. I don't know what I would do without my dad to drive the truck. He seems like Superman to me behind that wheel and as silly as it sounds I feel like nothing can happen if he is behind the wheel but Spence behind the wheel in that truck SCARES me.. As for things we will miss here I think the #1 thing that will be missed is Sierra. I think I have gained a child while living here, not only at my house but in my heart. She is over at my house daily and just fits right in with my girls. I don't know what any of these girls are going to do once we leave. I will miss looking in my backyard and seeing all the trees and knowing my kids can run free back there with no worries. I will miss having a neighbor (Gina) that I know I can text or call for anything, if I am having a bad day and need a girls night, or help with the kids etc... she is always there. I will miss my Primary kids, ohhh those sweet 6-7 year olds all with such sweet, different personalities that crack me up. I will also miss my hair clientelle as little as it is. It has helped me kinda stay in the game a little. Thanks MO for the great year we have had. Now onto the count down 34 days to go!!!!!!!

Spencer was able to fly in just in time to attend the annual Evenhuis Christmas Party, which as we all know is an ALL NIGHT AFFAIR!!! We can't help it, we just like to party it up and Grandma likes to spoil us all. Every year a special visitor AKA Santa stops by for a quick check up on all the kids to make sure they are being good and of course they all put on there most innocent faces and reply with a "yes". Flying Home

This year for Christmas we were blessed to be able to go back home and be with Family. Anybody who knows me, knows that I LOVE being with my family. I LOVE being at my parents house cause you never know who is going to come walking through the door to play. Well after debating between flying and driving we opted for the flying option and as daring as I am, I was not going to fly home alone with the 4 kids. Luckily my awesome and patient SIL Katie told me she was willing to fly back here and help me out early with the kids so Spence can finish out his shifts and fly out closer to the Holidays. We went and got her on Thurs night, had lunch with Mikaela at her school on Friday, and flew home on Saturday. Saturday morning we got up early had some breakfast and headed out for the LONG drive to the airport. I will be so grateful the day that I have a less then 30 min drive to an airport, cause this 3 hour drive is gettin old. We got all 10 bags checked in, all 6 of us through security and boarded onto the plane without any problems. The flights went smooth and me and Katie for the most part stayed as sane as we could. Here is a few pics of our trip on the plane.

I can't believe I completly forgot to post pictures of Spencers Graduation back in May. We were able to make the trip back to Kville with both sets of parents and also Spencer's older brother Chad and his amazing wife Lisa. It was so fun to see old friends again and to be able to watch my husband walk across the stage and become a Dr. Congrats AGAIN Dr. Evenhuis it was a long road but well worth the journey. Now if only residency was over!

This is a prime example of why I am the one who stays home with the kids and not Spence. When Spence is home and sees the "Play Dough" come out he usually stops it right in its tracks and places it back in the fridge with the kids protesting at his ankles. Well as for me I let them play and play they do, in fact today kynna decided the TV stand needed some "Playdough" decorating. If Spence was to see this Kynna would have been in the corner quickly, as I sit and watch her I just think "Wow, how fun to be a kid again and have an imagination."

I am so grateful to have met so many great friends while moving around in the journey called Medical School. However, I think the best friends that we have made have been the ones we met in the ville. They seem to be more at our level of understanding and know what to say when the times get hard and we need and encouragement. Although we don't live in the same area as any of those listeners right now we have been blessed to have friends 30 min away and another group about 2 1/2 hours away so if I ever needed to get out and see them I could. I don't know how I would ever get through this without someone to see my side and know what it is like to have a husband work 60-80 hours a week, or gone for 30 hours at a time on-call. All the hours would be great if they got paid hourly and not salary. So here is my shout-out to all of you that have made this journey a little bit easier and lended a listening ear when I need to vent, and also to all your husbands who seem to entertain my husband with all there Medical Talk that we don't understand!

We went to the Pumpkin Festival over the weekend. Although it was crowded it was also fun to get out of the house for a while. The girls were sure they needed something from the booths so on our way out they each made a sachet to put in there dressers and a spider on a stick. I got a bag of Kettle Corn and the cutest zebra print beenie for my SIL.

I was blessed to be able to get to go back home to Utah for a short weekend in August to be there when my brother Dustin and Cute SIL Mercedes went through the temple! It was such a great experience and I am so proud of them for making it to the temple! It was also soooo good to be home with family again, I never know how much I am going to miss them until I am without them!Can't wait till our trip back home.

Dance class has begun once again! Ok really it started like a month and a half ago but I am now posting pictures of my little dancers. At first I had them in the same class but after watching them the first week I decided to put Kynna in the younger class which has turned out to be a good thing as it lets her be her own individual instead of following her sister! They will be missing there first concert this winter as we will be in Utah for the holidays, but come spring I will be excited to show what they have learned this year!

The first day I took Makynna to pre-school she brought me out this beautiful picture she had created in class. Upon questioning her what the picture was she told me it was a "bead girl." I of course didn't understand what a "bead girl" was, well after further questioning and her explaining to me that a "bead girl" is all the black girls in her class who have all the hair ties and barrettes in their hair. She loves their hair and all the different things they come to school having done to there hair. I think if it was up to her I would do her hair just like the "bead girls." I just don't think hers would look the same. Ohh well here's to dreaming.

Conference Fun

Well we tried hard to watch a full session of Conference this year in the Evenhuis home. I think we got through a whole hour before the TV got switched over to the Wii for some different fun! I had printed off the girls packets to do while watching and Mikaela who loves school loved the packet, but after getting frustrated because one of the pages asked to color President Monson's tie to match the one he was wearing and it wouldn't show him she gave up. Maybe next year we will make it through a whole session. Thank goodness for DVR so that maybe I will make it through all sessions within the next month?!?

I am such a proud Mama these days. My little Sweetheart Addison has accomplished two HUGE obstacles in a matter of weeks.
#1 Potty Training- She took to potty training like a champ, it took a couple of weeks to get it down and about a month to work out all the kinks but she is now successfully potty trained 100%. No Pull-ups for her. GO ADDISON!!!!!
#2 Pacifier- Last Saturday while I was at the store I suddenly decided that it was going to be the day we said GOOD BYE to the Pacifier or in Addison language "baba". I bought six balloons thinking one pacifier to one balloon and then one extra balloon for her to have but it actually took two balloons for one pacifier. I got home and she was so excited to see the balloons not knowing they were going to take away her little friends to go see the babies in heaven cause they need them more then her. Luckily I had also bought her a couple of surprises at the store to compensate me taking away her "baba." She was so excited to let the balloons go and wave good bye as her pacifiers floated away. Shortly after that was nap time and that's when it hit her that the pacifiers were gone. She had a short melt down and cry session but still fell asleep within 15 min and has been GREAT since. Who knew it would be so easy!
I have been so blessed to have such an easy going little lady, I am so proud of her and am amazed daily at how much I love her!! Way to go Addison!

Well as Tyler is getting older he is gaining quite the personality! He likes to armey crawl around to where he needs to go and his favorite pass time is to find a door stopper and continue to hit it until it falls off and the eats and chews on it! Ohhhh if I could only tell you how much I enjoy being the mother to a happy little boy! He is such a good baby and we have been blessed to have him here in this house full of girls!!! He just plays all day chasing or more like army crawling after his sisters who think for some reason it is the funniest thing to put bows in his hair and finding every opportunity he has to find a door stopper he can get off to chew on. After the blanket was finished I got a wild hair and decided to try to do these cute skirts that my friend Lisa had made for her daughter Hallie. Well I finished them as well, now I just have to find shirts to match!

I needed to find myself something to keep me busy while Spence has been gone doing his On-Call nights at the hospital. After all a girl can only sit on the couch and watch so many shows for so long before she goes nuts so I started a project and here is how it looks. I would like to think my Grandma Peterson would be very proud of my work (as long as she doesn't look too closely. Not sure who is going to be the owner of this project yet, but if you ask Kynna she will tell you it's hers. My girls have alot of blankets as it is but what's another blanket? I will post again once the project is complete and frayed on the edges!!! Until then enjoy the pics of the half finished rag-tye quilt!

The girls have made a friend!!!!! Yeah for sanity, and the girls not going crazy on a daily bases of boredom. Sierra is a sweet, outgoing, fun girl who lives two houses down from us. She is 5 which makes her right in between Mikaela and Kynna and they all play together pretty well, and don't forget Addison who thinks she is just as old as her sisters and follows them everywhere. Thank goodness for friends and the memories they will give my girls of there year in Jefferson City.

I hope everyone survived the fourth with the heat and bbq's and FIREWORKS!!!!! We had a calm day here that consisted of a bbq and then a trip to the hospital parking lot to view the fireworks over the capital. We also bought our own fireworks to do at home on to find out they are illegal to set off within city limits which sucks because the fence in our backyard is the county/city border :( ohhh well. Kynna fell asleep about five minutes into the fireworks Tyler who was asleep before woke up for the fireworks and the other two just ran around waiting for the fireworks! Although we did have a fun day we did miss the annual Magna parade and the annual debate on whether to hit Magna's fireworks or just do our own! Enjoy the pictures

The Friday night before we left we hit up our favorite place to eat Italian Village! It is one of those places where if you want to eat in a decent amount of time you need to show up early. We as usual had a huge group but we made it through one last dinner and half of the good bye's. I am sure everybody at Italian Village was wondering why were all hugging and it tears in the middle of the place. Thanks to all family who came it was a good last meal.

Big Move Back to the Midwest

Well we made it! We have made our travels back to the midwest where we will call our home for the next four years. Our travels were pretty eventful after our moving truck lost its transmission and having to stay an extra night at a hotel we finally got here. The kids enjoyed the extra night at the hotels and crashed hard when it came to bed time. I also packed the kids some "presents" that they could open along the way to help time go by!
Now that I should have some free time I will try to update what has been going on and hopefully keep you updated on present time stuff as well! Lots to catch up on so stay tuned!

So in July my two older girls got to perform in their first Dance Recital! I was so excited to see my girls up on the stage doing what I loved so much as a kid. At first Mikaela wasn't so sure about performing in front of everyone, so I downloaded her song and put in on the Ipod so she can practice. By the time the recital came she was a PRO! I am so proud of both girls. My little Dorothy and Tinker Bell did a great job!

The end of May we welcomed a new baby to the Tucker Family. Baby Kenzie was born to Chris and Katie. She is one of the four babies born to the Ben and Julie Tucker Family just this year. Three of my four younger brothers welcomed babies into this world alongside me. We doubled the grandkids within 6 months! I will try to find pictures of Landon and Riley and get them posted also.

I love it when Addison discovers a new toy that takes over her attention for a while! Yesterday she came across the Vacuum and it is now her new favorite. It is so funny to watch her drag it from one room to another moving it over the floor like she is really cleaning, I have her in training at such a young age!

We can't seem to keep this girl off our table so we have given up on that and so now she thinks she owns the tabletop. In mid-June Mikaela and Kynna were able to participate in there first dance recital. I think me as the mother was even more nervous then they were. I had previously recorded Mikaela song which was, "Follow the Yellow Brick Road," and she practiced that dance every day. It was so fun to watch her progress into the little confident dancer she became by the night of the recital. Kynna's class danced to "You Can Fly." And although putting a bunch of three year old together on the stage alone isn't the best idea, they sure all looked cute in there Tinkerbell costumes! I must say I was so proud watching them both strut there stuff on the stage and can't wait till they get to experience it again!

Childrens Museum

Winter seemed to take forever to end this year and me and my girls are not ones who like to be all stuffed up in a house for very long! One daring day I decided to venture out with all three and take a field trip to the Childrens Museum! The girls had so much fun! Addison loved to drive the car, I think she would have stayed there all day if I let her. Mikaela liked the life flight helicopter they got to explore, except she kept telling me that it was about to take off because they had sound effects playing for it. So funny! It was a fun day out although nothing I would want to do by myself everyday especially during spring break when the museum is CRAZY packed!

Silly Kynna

Anybody who knows my children, knows what a fun/crazy personality Kynna has. One night she was throwing one of her many fits when it came to night time. I went it to make sure she had found her way to her pillow and went to bed and this is what I found under her bed. She had given up on sleeping on the bed and thought the floor would be more comfy!

HAPPY 30th BIRTHDAY SPENCER!

The end of March, Spencer got to celebrate a grand event!!!! He turned the BIG 30! Wow, when I was younger I thought that 30's was so OLD but now that this age has hit my husband and is slowly creeping up on me I think 30 is so young still!!! Good thing we still act like a bunch of kids at our house or I am afraid it would be so quiet I would be able to hear his bones creak! Happy Belated Birthday Spence and I love you!

Better late then never! Now that school is over I figured I can update a little of my blog. In February we were able to take a hiatus and leave for a fun long weekend in Dland. Now that we live closer once again it was so nice just to pack up and go.

Do You Need Your Hair Done?

So for Makynna Potty Training reward she picked out a glamour salon that is now set up in our basement. Now Kynna has always been the one who loves her hair and makeup done and just like to be dolled up. So this was the perfect reward for her. The other night me and Spencer both took our turns in the client chair and she primped us. It would start with a makeup job only to be followed by a haircut and then finished off with a dunk in her sink to wash your hair. (she has watched me way too many times do my own hair clients) I snuck a few pics of Spence getting his make over done.

To start of the new year we had pictures taken of the girls. They were actually taken on Addison's Birthday and the other girls have birthdays next month so we decided to get there pictures taken as well while we are there. I can't believe how big my girls are getting!

7 Year Itch

So it's official I have now been married seven years and have gotten through the seven year itch as they call it. Well I never got the itch but it is a nice title. This year was my year to plan so of course we went away for a night thanks to Chris and Katie who lovingly took our hoodlums under there wings for a night. We stayed at Castlecreek Inn and had a lovely evening. The past seven years have been a rollercoaster between medical school and starting a family it has been a challenge at times. But I have loved every minute of it and would not change my husband for anything. Thanks Spence for everything you do for me I love you.

First Snow

The first snow has already fallen this year I am just a little slow at posting about it. The girls woke up to fine the blanket of coldness in the backyard and had to go out and play. You can definitely tell they are not my children when it comes to know because I HATE SNOW. They were so disappointed when it had all melted by the end of the week and Mikaela can't stop asking when it is going to snow again, but of course I am in no hurry.

SO my parents decided to ditch us this week and take my 3 younger siblings on a cruise and leave us all at home to fend for ourselves. Well we couldn't let this weekend pass on not have a party, because they do say when the cats away the mouse will play, and play we did... On Sunday me and my 3 of my siblings on there fams got together for dinner and to hang out. We had Cafe Rio salads on the menu and a wii that desperately was in need of some play time. Thanks again for the food Katie, Mel and Em it was delicious. And the boys for the great entertainment of watching you get into playing the games.

Circus

We had the opportunity to go to the circus this year and have suite tickets for $10 each. What a steal. The girls enjoyed the first half but then by the second half they were antsy to leave.

Hide and go Crawl

Addison is now 8 months and at this point she has decided that being immobile is totally not the cool thing to be. SO she started crawilng about 1 1/2 weeks ago. AGHHHH. I love when they are at the stage where they can just sit there and play with toys and be content but she has flown past that and is all over the place thinking she is just as big as her sisters! I will be in big trouble when she figures the walking thing out.

New Haircut

Well we finally did it! We cut Mikaela's hair. I think I decided that it was time for a trim while she was in the bath tub yesterday morning and then by the time we actually got t cutting it I had decided to let her tell me how she wanted it cut. so here is our before and after shot. I don't think everybody will approve but honestly people your not the one who has to hear her screaming every time you try to comb it.

Ok so I am the first to admit that I have been horrible at updating this ever since the big move westward, but honestly I've been busy. So these next few posts will be updating on our adventures of getting here where we are now!!!! I will start with a video of our last night in k-ville, with nothing left in the house we had to find some form of entertainment and it came in the form of a grandpa who loved his granddaughters enough to play with them. I know its is sideways but still funny. Kynna thought it would br great to stick her pacifier in his mouth and after she did he would shoot it in the air. The girls thought it was the funniest thing.

We Found a Place!

I can now say that our Utah trip was successful as we have officially signed a lease for a beautiful house for the time we will be spending back home it Utah. It is a 4 bedroom house just down the street from my sister-in-law and from the clinic where Spence will be doing the majority of his rotations. It has a fenced in back yard, and a gas fireplace we can enjoy in the winter. It is in a great neighborhood and a great school district for Mikaela. The landlord seems very nice and doesn't live too close so she won't be breathing down out necks at all and the neighbors have lots of kids as well so that is even better. I am so excited for our move to come in 4 weeks, I don't think it will come soon enough. Although I will miss the Ville I can't wait to be around family again where I can have there love and support right there next to me when I need it.

ZOO Time

While in Utah for the summer we went to the Zoo. The girls had so much fun looking at all the animals and baking in the sun! Uncle Mike was trying to teach Kynna how to say Cougar and she would repeat it back to him. Addison slept most of the trip away in her stroller, and Mikaela was as energetic as always. Mikaela really wanted to see the Bats so I took her underneath where they keep them and the moment we walked in the cave like area she freaked. She cried until I took her out where she could be free again and then as we started walking back to everyone she said she wanted to do it again. What a crazy girl. Well she got to see her bats, and the blind fish. Unfortunately we didn't get to ride the train or see the White Alligator because a little boy had a seizure in the alligator building and then they were using to the railroad path to get emergency vehicles to him. All in all it was a great day, we ended it with a picnic at the park.
